Please contact one of the Workforce Connection offices for details about what workshops are offered and when they are scheduled.

Resume Building Workshops are held every Tuesday from 2:00pm-4:00pm via zoom.

How to Register 

  1. Click on any Workshop Link below to Register
  2. Fill in your name, email address (must be valid), phone, and answer any additional questions that have a red star by them, as they are required for registration.
  3. The last step is to click “Register”. You’re all set!

Available Workshops:

  • Resume Building: If you’re just starting to work on your resume and don’t know where to begin, or if you have a resume that hasn’t gotten you anywhere in your job search, join us for our Resume Skills Workshop. We’ll show you how to get started, what to include and how to format your resume. You’ll get all the tools that you’ll need to build an effective resume and will see that it’s a lot easier than you might have thought! Your resume is your personal marketing tool, and a strong resume is a vital part of your job search. Every Tuesday from 2pm-4pm.   • How To Complete Online Job Applications Workshop: In this 35-minute workshop, you learn how to prepare for and complete online job applications. The workshop opens with resources that can help improve your computer skills, and covers steps to complete before you go online. Topics include sources for online job openings, leads to employers who are hiring, and tips for completing the applications online.   • Social Media for Job Seekers Workshop: Do you have any social media accounts, such as Facebook or LinkedIn? If you do, let’s talk about how to use these to find a job, and if you don’t, there are easy ways to get started and add social media to your job search tools. Networking is the #1 way to find a new job, and you can use social media as a great way to network to your new job. In this 30-minute workshop, there is an overview of “networking,” what it is and why it is important. Topics also include how to edit and manage the information on your social media sites to ensure it is a positive job search support; or, the basics for starting to use social media account to give your job search a boost.   •  Successful Telephone and Online Interviewing Workshop: Land that dream job by acing your interview! If you are just starting to prepare for a job interview, or if you want to fine tune your interview skills, the Interviewing Skills workshop will help you develop the skills needed to walk away from that interview knowing that you nailed it! In this workshop, you will learn skills on how to prepare for the interview, avoid common pitfalls, interview successfully in the virtual world, and demonstrate desirable professional traits on interview day!
