WorkKeys® is a job skills assessment system measuring “real world” skills that employers say are critical to job success. These skills are valuable for any occupation – skilled or professional – and at any level of education. |
WorkKeys® Skill Assessments deal with the foundational skills required by all jobs. These skills are tested in three basic assessment areas:
Applied Mathematics
This measures the skills used when applied to mathematical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem solving techniques to work-related problems.
Locating Information
This measures the skills used when working with workplace graphics. People taking this assessment are asked to find information in a graphic or insert information into a graphic. They also must compare, summarize, and analyze information found in related graphics.
Reading for Information
This measures the skills people use when they read and use written text in order to do a job. The written texts include memos, letters, directions, signs, notices, bulletins, policies, and regulations.
